  • Recognize and explain what "Agile Project Management" is and know when to use it

  • Know how to align roles, structures and processes to be in sync with Agile PM concepts

  • Effectively identify risk management issues involving Agile PM

  • Integrate Agile PM with Program and Portfolio Management Strategies.
  • Appreciate the complexity of managing multiple projects and challenges from a process perspective

  • Walk through the Standard for Program Management, that provides a detailed understanding of processes to manage multiple projects

  • Be aware of the Standard for Portfolio Management, and processes recognized as effective in portfolio management relating to disciplines of program and project management

  • Understand the role of program managers, portfolio
    managers and the interface between program and project managers in ensuring successful execution of programs

  • Understand OPM3 as the PMI standard that integrates the domains of project, program and portfolio management, providing an overall picture of best practices.
  • Understand major frameworks for explaining cultures of different regional clusters

  • Discuss the importance of culture for understanding and managing project/program teams.

  • Identify major barriers to communicating cross-culturally

  • Describe typical leadership patterns in different cultures

  • Discuss guidelines and principles used in building multicultural effectiveness at the team level within the context of the organizational culture.
