  • Identify the goals of Project Level Scheduling

  • Determine objectives to meet the goals

  • Select specific scheduling techniques to accomplish the objectives

  • Understand schedule status methods

  • Practice selecting techniques during group project

Prerequisites for session 1 - Basic understanding of scheduling terminology: dependencies, constraints, critical path navigation, deliverable identification from requirements. This session is tool independent.

  • Identify components of a Program

  • Identify goals of Program Level Scheduling

  • Review complexity indicators

  • Detail discussion and examples of techniques for managing Program level complexity

  • Practice selecting techniques during group discussion


Prerequisites for session 2 - Basic understanding of scheduling terminology. (See session 1)
This session expands upon the December 2007 Forum topic of Deliverables Based Scheduling. You do not have to have attended the December 2007 forum to register for this session.

  • Understand program status methods

  • Determine dashboard method appropriate to program area

  • Practice program level techniques during group discussions

  • Identify Portfolio Scheduling goals

  • Determine Portfolio Scheduling components

Session 3 is primarily a continuation from Session 2
