Based on trust, the leader gives the employee opportunities for challenging and aligned work assignments. Authority, responsibility and accountability are delegated to the employee. Attainable goals and realistic expectations are set. Clear direction is given. Resources are provided. The resources, direction, and authority are used by the employee to deliver work product. Performance and outcomes are measured. Motivation coaching and mentoring is provided. Outcomes set a new baseline for experience and demonstrated skill.
