Introduce challenges and opportunities in managing global portfolio and projects for global enterprises. Discuss areas and topics that are often overlooked or underestimated in their impact on global portfolio and project management. Explore how diversity across countries and regions can be a strenght in achieving organizational objectives.

 

Over 26 years Information Technology experience in a manufacturing automotive company. Exxperince includes applying information technology for application support and development , infrastructure, and security and controls. Business applications covering: Marketing and Sales, Purchasing, Transportation, Product Development, and Finance. Over the years, managed application and project portfolio and delivered many IT projects w/ teams of 150+ professionals. Projects scope included both regional and global coverage. Leveraged both onsite and offshore project development for improved cost and timing delivery.

Managing global projects comes with it's challenges in terms of business diversity, country specifics and people. Understanding these challenges are the initial steps in successfully managing projects that span countries and regions. Opportunities in this world of differences can be leveraged in applying common language (PMI), processes, and tools.
