PMI GLC Volunteer Recognition Event

Leadership PMI Great Lakes Chapter conducted the volunteer recognition event for the 2010 volunteers on Feb 23rd 2011 at the Southfield Marriot Hotel. The event started with an address by Ravi Krishnaswami, Past President of PMI-GLC. He outlined the importance of the spirit of volunteering, with the help of quotes from famous people. He appreciated the efforts of the volunteers for the chapter activities in 2010.

During the award ceremony, each volunteer was called to the stage and recognized for their contribution to the chapter by their respective Vice Presidents by delivering a few brief statements about each of their contributions. Each volunteer was awarded an appreciation plaque, and a gift card as a token of appreciation for volunteering in the activities for the chapter.

All the attendees enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, as part of the award ceremony. At the closing Thagu Vivek, Director of Volunteer Management thanked the volunteers and the audience for their contribution to the chapter.

Following the recognition event, a 2011 volunteer on-boarding session was conducted to introduce the PMI-GLC process and tools available to new volunteers for this year.

The PMI GLC executive committee expresses their heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers of the organization for their efforts and accomplishments for the chapter.

Looking forward to another rewarding year
