PMI GLC Members,
We would like to thank all 175 members who participated
in the PMI GLC 2nd Annual Networking Open House on
Wednesday, July 28, 2004. The Open House featured
information booths set up by PMI GLC Outreach Committees,
12 local Universities, ISSIG, Women in Project Management SIG,
Students in PM SIG & Auto SIG.
In addition to providing networking and information gathering
opportunities, the Open House featured an
educational presentation "Software Testing - A Necessary
Nuisance or Critical Cost Saver" presented by Farmington
Hills office of Sogeti USA and product demonstrations by Microsoft
and Primavera. We extend our special thanks to Sogeti USA,
Microsoft and Primavera for bringing the presentations to
our membership.
To better serve your interests and to provide value for
your membership, we would like to hear your opinions
about the Open House. We would like to know what aspects
of the Open House you found useful and what you did
not and how
we can make it better. Please send your feedback/opinions
to vp.communications@pmiglc.org;
the best suggestion/critique will receive a surprise gift.
This September, PMI GLC will have been in existence for
25 years. Please join us in celebrating the Silver Jubilee
Anniversary at the Dinner Meeting on September 13, 2004. Presented
by Richard Sheridan, the topic of the dinner meeting
is "Accidental Entrepreneur." Richard and his growing
firm, Menlo Innovations, became the cover story in Forbes
Magazine (May 2003). Learn how he founded a successful information
technology company in the very same economy that was creating
so many employment casualties.
We look forward to see you in September. Until then, enjoy
the rest of the summer!!! |
