From: "PMI Great Lakes Chapter" To: Subject: [PMI-GLC] January Newsletter Date: Thursday, January 04, 2007 5:48 AM January 2007 Newsletter -------------------------------------------------- PMI-GLC President’s message -------------------------------------------------- Dear Members, As President of Great Lakes Chapter (GLC) for 2007 I look forward to working with the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and volunteers who work within the chapter to provide the many services offered throughout our local community of Project Management members and industry supporters. Services offered by GLC over the last few years have increased and will continue to increase in the coming year. Offerings, such as training events and programs will be based on topics voiced in the recent membership interest survey. Our growth is dependent primarily on availability of volunteer resources. Chapter members are welcomed and encouraged to work with us to continue existing services, delivering new services and providing value to our membership. Many projects are already in process with several new projects soon to be initiated, all requiring a broad variety of skills. Interested members are welcome to contribute their experience and talents in helping us achieve new levels of member services consistent with the mission and vision of the Chapter. The Mission of PMI GLC is to promote and enhance project management knowledge, skills and leadership. The PMI GLC Vision is to sustain a leadership position in collaboratively educating, communicating and advancing the value of project management as a profession for members and other stakeholders. Our team of volunteers will tell you that their participation in PMI GLC has proven to be personally rewarding and has provided career development for them in many ways. Please come learn about what we do and how we do it! The PMI GLC website (www.pmiglc.org) is being updated and will soon include the names and positions of new officers. Stay tuned and feel free to contact any of us to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
