October 2004

Dear PMI GLC Members,

Fall giving a hint of its glorious colors has arrived!!! Besides signifying a change of seasons, Fall is heralding a season of changes at PMI GLC as well. The current Board of Directors has elected Kent Jennings as President of PMI Great Lakes Chapter for the 2005 Program Year. Kent is the current VP of Outreach and will be taking over as President of PMI GLC effective January 1, 2005. Please join us in congratulating Kent and wishing him to lead the chapter to new heights in the coming year.

As you are aware, the elections for VP positions for the 2005 Program Year are currently underway. Your vote is your voice, we want to hear it. Please cast your vote. The electronic ballot has been sent in a separate email dated October 4, 2004.

It is our pleasure and honor to host Teri Takai, CIO of State of Michigan at our Dinner Meeting on October 11, 2004. PM Solutions is sponsoring the October Dinner Meeting. You can register for the dinner meeting at the link below.

Continuing our tradition of offering premium Project Management education at affordable prices, we are co-sponsoring a Professional Development Day (PDD) "Best Practices in Project Management" by Dr. Harold Kerzner on November 1, 2004 at MSU Center in Troy, MI. You can register for the PDD at the link below.

We have issued a call for Monthly Dinner Meeting Speakers for the Program Year 2005. The details can be found on the website. If you have heard a great speaker and wish to bring them to our chapter, please feel free to forward the invitation to submit proposal to them.

As ever, we like to hear from you. If you have any suggestions for improvements please send them to the concerned VP. Wishing you a great colorful season ahead.

Yours Sincerely,
PMI GLC Board of Directors
