Director of
Professional Development Days
Director of Professional Development Days (PDD) works with
the VP of Programs to coordinate all professional development
days (i.e. 1 day workshop, 2 day workshops) for the membership
of PMI GLC. Director of PDD is a non-voting member of the
Board of Directors. This is an excellent opportunity to receive
additional experiences and skills while serving the PMI GLC
and the Board of Directors.
Description of Activities to be performed by Director of
PDD:
- MUST BE A GREAT LAKES CHAPTER MEMBER.
- Back-up to VP of Programs.
- Schedule at least four 1 or 2 day Professional Development
Days (PDD) per year.
- Review all contracts between PMI GLC, PDD presenter
and vendors used.
- Send any contracts to Director of Contracts for
signature. Obtain a copy of signed contract.
- Coordinate and execute all agreed upon responsibilities
for a 1 or 2 day PDD with PMI GLC.
- Obtain course content for advertising purposes
and coordinate with PMI GLC webmaster for posting
on the chapter website.
- Prepare advertisement announcements and coordinate
with PMI GLC webmaster for emailing to the membership.
- If PMI GLC is responsible for attendee registration,
coordinate with Meeting Coordinators on the development
of registration page.
- Attend the day of event and assist with check-in.
If unable to attend, then Director of PDD is responsible
for finding a replacement. Options are VP Programs,
other members of the board or hire Meeting Coordinators
to conduct the check-in on day of PDD.
- Coordinate all final invoices for payment to vendors.
