Director of Membership Promotion
The Director of Membership Promotion works with the
VP of Membership to understand what members value/want
in PMI-GLC membership and coordinate efforts with Communication
and Outreach committees to develop methods to communicate
this value and enable the Membership Retention committees
to maintain and expand PMI-GLC membership. The Director
will be responsible to develop and implement chapter
surveys (listed below), membership value information
and membership materials to be used at PMI-GLC and non-PMI-GLC
events to promote chapter membership. The goal is to
support the efforts to increase membership and enable
other committees to utilize the information for chapter
growth.
The Director of Membership Promotion is a non-voting
member of the Board of Directors. This position can
involve additional experiences and skills while serving
the PMI GLC and the Board of Directors. Description
of Position requirements and activities to be performed
by Director of Membership Promotion:
- The director must be a Great Lakes Chapter member
in good standing
- Must provide a backup team member or process when
not available to perform duties
- Must build, update, and maintain the Membership
Promotion process so that it measures and provides
value to the GLC chapter so that membership levels
remain high.
- Work with the VP of Membership to execute to establish
and refine membership targets so they align with Chapter
objectives.
- Must transition all duties to the in-coming Director
of Membership Promotion prior to leaving the position
- Identify and maintain all Membership Promotion activities
in a spreadsheet Inventory format which includes campaign
result statistics.
- Provide status of all Membership Promotion process
results once a month to the VP of Membership
- Collaborate with the Membership Information Manager
and Director Membership Retention teams to build communications
plans and activities to support membership objectives.
- Collaborate with VP of Communication and other PMI-GLC
Vice Presidents to coordinate membership communication
and opportunities
- Coordinate with VP of Outreach for possible events
to promote PMI-GLC membership
- Select, mentor, and direct volunteers to execute
the Membership Promotion process. Be accountable to
the deliverables regardless of volunteer staff available
to assist.
- Chapter surveys (All Member and others as necessary)
- Coordinated efforts with VP Communication
- Develop and maintain membership value information

- Membership marketing information developed in coordination
with VP Communication
- Coordinate with VP of Outreach for possible events
