Professional Development
Members have the opportunity to network with other
individuals in project management, share ideas and
experiences, access industry information, attend seminars
and workshops and socialize with peers by joining PMIs
component organizations. PMI has three types of component
organizations, Chapters, Specific Interest Groups (SIGs)
and Colleges. Chapters are geographic-based components
and number over 200 worldwide. SIGs provide members
access to peers in similar industries or areas of interest.
Colleges help further develop and refine a formal body
of knowledge related to project management.
PMIs Annual Seminars and Symposium, the worlds
premiere project management event, is a must-attend
event for knowledge sharing, networking with peers,
professional development and career advancement. PMI
members who attend benefit from discounted rates.
Career Resources
PMI members can post their résumés,
free of charge, in the online CareerLink Directory,
where employers look to fill their project management
positions. There is also an online list of positions
available that can be accessed by individuals seeking
employment opportunities.
As members, employers can take advantage of discounted
rates for job postings and searches of the CareerLink
Directory of PMI members seeking employment opportunities.
