President - Don Blouin, MBA, PMP

VP Professional Development - Don Blouin, MBA, PMP, CDP

Don would like PMIGLC to continue focusing on member services and interests by increasing the variety of offerings and events for members. Possibilities for 2007 include seminars, forums and other activities that provide for professional development while earning PDU credits. Continued progress toward achieving PMIGLC's Strategic Objectives is also part of the vision for success for 2007.

 

Don Blouin served as VP of Professional Development for 2005-2006 and has been an active member of PMIGLC since 2002. He has been a member of PMI since 1998 and was PMP Certified since 1999.

 

His professional experience as a Sr. Project Manager and IT Consultant includes over 25 years of experience in information systems and management, primarily with automotive manufacturing companies and in education and training. Recent PMO positions involve planning, execution and implementation of IT Projects, assessment and coaching of project teams, implementation of quality improvements and standards, program and portfolio management.

 

Don is employed as a PMO/SOX Manager and teaches undergraduate and graduate Information Technology and Project Management courses at several local universities. His academic background includes: M.B.A., Babson College ; B.S., Roger Williams College ; and Teaching Certification from University of Rhode Island.

Past President - Suketu Nagrecha, MBA, PMP, CNA

President - Suketu Nagrecha, PMP

Suketu Nagrecha is a Senior Project Manager with over 20 years experience managing concurrent projects involving up to 70 resources in Automotive, Healthcare, Financial, Government, Human Resources, IT and Publishing related industries.

 

Suketu has Bachelors in Computer Engineering from PICT, India and MBA from Lawrence Technological University , Michigan . He has designed study material and facilitated sessions for PMP certification that has helped many project managers to pass the PMP certification exam. His article "An Introduction to Earned Value Analysis" was well received by the project management community.

 

Suketu is a PMI member since August 2000 and passed his PMP certification in May 2001. In January 2004 he joined PMI-GLC board as the Director of Volunteer Program. In 2005 he served as VP-Administration of the chapter. During his tenure as the President in 2006, the chapter received many worldwide recognitions for the first time including PMI's Recognition of Excellence award and Volunteer Program of the Year award. Suketu was recognized by PMI with a prestigious global Component Leadership Award for leadership, organizational and management initiatives and significant achievements.

 

In 2006 Suketu was one of the 50 candidates selected worldwide by PMI to participate in PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class of 2007. PMI has appointed Suketu as Component Mentor for PMI Region-4 for 2007-2009. With 24 chapters and over 23,000 members, Region-4 is world's largest PMI regions.

 

Suketu is also actively involved with various community and professional organizations as a board member and in leadership roles. In 1993, he received Outstanding President award as a Rotaract Club President (part of Rotary International) in district 3130. In November 2003 he reached a milestone when he donated blood for 50th time. His other interests are scuba diving, aero sport (skydiving, flying, gliding), theater etc.

President-Elect - Arun Vinod Das K.S., PMP

VP Administration - Arun Vinod Das K.S., PMP

Arun joined PMI GLC in 2000 as a member. He was a volunteer in Project Apollo that was initiated to create the course materials for PMP Prep class. Then he served as Director of Advertising & Newsletter before elected to serve in this current position in 2005. As VP of Administration he plays key role in the governance and manages the key meetings such as BOD, Executive etc; Volunteer Management which fulfills the resource needs for the organizations. contract management and other special projects are also handled by his department. Staffing appropriately and guide the organization climb the organization up the maturity ladder are the two strategic initiatives close to his heart. His interest in disciplined process and the willingness to impart organized approach made him a self directed project manager during the early stages of his career. He is very excited to be a PMP since 2003. The interest and eagerness to interact with his peers and people in general has motivated him to volunteer for the chapter.

He takes great pride in receiving the 'Volunteer program of the year 2006' award for the chapter. Key areas of Volunteer Management is handled by his department. He was recently selected by PMI into its Leadership Institutes's Masters class of 2007. The current BOD has elected Arun to be the President-Elect for 2008 and to lead the chapter in 2009.

Arun started as a free lancing solution delivery person supporting small BPO/Data Entry firms 14 years ago. He has recently worked on creating solutions, managing programs/projects for the automotive financial industry. He has also worked in other industries such as hotel management, retail and advertising. Currently he is employed as a Sr. Manager at Accenture in their Project Management & Controls Capability. He continues to practice program and porfolio management. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Application from University of Madras, India.

VP Administration - Susan Desai, PMP

Susan Desai is a career project manager working for General Dynamics Corporation. Susan has 15 years of project management experience that includes working with Ford Motor Company and other global corporations. Susan accomplished her PMP certification in 2002 and MBA in 2004. She lives with her husband Andy and two wonderful kids in Farmington Hills, MI.

VP Communication - Karen Lange, PMP

Karen Lange has 20 years of project management experience in Information Systems, primarily with distributed computing. She retired from AAA Michigan in 2006. Karen has been an active member of PMI/GLC since 2002. She served on the Membership Committee in 2005, was Director of Marketing & Promotions in 2006, and was elected VP of Communications for 2007/2008. Karen has a Masters from Central Miichigan in Management Science and a Bachelor of Businesss Administration, Operations Research and Information Systems from Eastern Michigan.

VP Finance - Gil Rollins, PMP

VP Finance - Gil Rollins, PMP

Gilbert (Gil) Rollins was a Managing Consultant with EDS, retiring at the beginning of 2005. He has over 30 years of project management experience ranging from one location, privately held to multi-billion, multinational firms. Gil has been an active member of PMI/GLC/ISSIG since 1996, working on membership surveys and 3 years on Membership Committee. He was the VP of Membership for two years and is currently Director of Finance Operations. Gil has a BS/ME - Kettering University, Flint, MI (formerly General Motors Institute).

As VP of Finance I will lead the development of the 2006 Budget, plan that PMI-GLC will remain solvent, control expenses in line with the approved cost baseline and invest in programs proposed through the period that will deliver high value to our members.

VP Outreach - Ravi Krishnaswami, PMP

 

VP Professional Development - Charlotte Neuhauser, PMP

Charlotte Neuhauser served PMIGLC in the role of Director of Instructor Scheduling, Credentialing and Quality 2005-2006. In prior years, she was a participant on the Apollo I and Apollo II projects where she contributed to developing the PMP Review Course and the online PMP Review Course. She also has presented seminars on leadership and multicultural topics. She has been a member of PMIGLC since 1998 and has been PMP Certified since 1999.

 

Her professional experience as a Project Manager includes projects in education, international business, and training as she is also a professor at Madonna University . She has many publications and conference presentations based on her research in the fields of project management, international business, and online education, her most recent in the Project Management Journal , March, 2007.

 

Charlotte received her B.A. in psychology from DePauw University and her master's and Ph.D. from Wayne State University . In addition she served as dean of the School of Business for 20 years at Madonna University . She brings to PMIGLC both project management experience and a strong academic background.
