President - Rose Tyler, PMP

Since 2000 when I obtained my PMP certification, I have been active in the PMI Great Lakes Chapter as a general member, exhibitor and speaker, as well as active in PMI global. For PMI Women in Project Management SIG, I was very much involved in developing the strategic direction for both outreach and education programs working with numerous chapters (global), PMI registered education providers, and industry corporations. Past President - Kulveer Virk, M.Eng., PMP

Kulveer is Senior Project Manager working for Ford Motor Co.  His previous experiences include consulting, medical, engineering, city government, etc.

Kulveer is actively involved in PMIGLC since 2006. He holds Masters degree in Environmental Engineering. Kulveer has nearly 15 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, and business process reengineering, operations and software development. During his tenure, Kulveer has been instrumental in implementing solutions to cut cost, redesign services, and embracing social media.

He lives with his wife and two children in Windsor, Ontario

President-Elect - Surya Prakash, PMP

Surya is a Senior Project Manager with Ally Financial Inc.  He has extensive Project Management experience with companies such as KPMG Consulting, PriceWaterhouse Coopers.  He has implemented ERP systems in organizations such as State of Michigan, Oakland County, Compaq (Now part of HP), General Motors etc.  Surya has been an avid volunteer with PMI GLC since 2007.  He got his PMI certification in 2005.  He received his Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India

VP Administration - Thagu Vivek, MS., MBA., PgMP

Thagu Vivek is currently employed as a Program Manager at DCS, Inc, Troy, Michigan. Managing the entire Data Management Suite of Products and Programs - leading a software development team including new business development, brand development, marketing, customer relations, new products architecture and distribution network initiatives. He has more than 19 years experience in project management and program management areas, with applications ranging from manufacturing, software design, quality control, Engineering services, and Information technology. He received his Program Management (PgMP) certification from Project Management Institute(PMI).He has a masters degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and a MBA from Oakland University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from American Society of Quality.

VP Communications - Jeffrey Adams, MBA, PMP

Jeffrey Adams has 10+ years Business Analysis and Project Management experience in the healthcare consulting, IT and contract staffing arenas. He currently works for Covisint as Sales Program Manager supporting the AT&T healthcare sales program.

He has been actively involved with PMIGLC since 2009, starting his service with the Membership committee and acting as Director of Membership Promotion for 2011-2012.

VP Finance - Neil Goldman, PMP

Mr. Goldman, is a PMP certified Project / Program Manager with 30 years of extensive experience interfacing up to the CEO level, managing global projects valued up to 60 million dollars with teams of up to 200 people in Fortune 500 companies in Information Technology. He has held numerous local and global leadership positions within the Project Management Institute (PMI), including Chapter President. In several companies, he was responsible for creating a central Project Management Office (PMO) from scratch or improving existing ones, to increase multiple project performance. He has also has been an instructor at Macomb Community College (Warren, MI), and has been teaching both PMP preparation, as well as Project Management and MS Project classes since 1998.

Neil holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University (Southfield, MI)

VP Membership - Sanjay Kumar, PMP

SanjayKumar has around 25 years of leadership experience in the government, healthcare, finance, IT and automotive sectors. He has a vast global experience and hasworked in various positions such as a programmer, technical leader, projectmanager and Sr. project manager in NIC, ICMR, EDS, Oracle Corporation, IBM, etc.He has successfully managed diverse and technically strong global teams inIndia, Australia and the United States. He has experience in softwaredevelopment, project management, strategic planning, and business processreengineering.

Sanjayreceived his PMP certification in 2005 and has been a member of PMI GLC sincethen.

Sanjayholds three Masters Degrees - M.Tech in Computer Science from Indian Instituteof Technology (I.I.T) Delhi, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Statistics fromDelhi University, and Master (M.A.) in Statistics from Delhi University.

Heis currently working as a senior consultant at Ford Motor Company. 

VP Outreach - Lisa Foster, PMP, MBA, CSM

Lisa Foster is the Health & Human Services Practice Principal at Hewlett Packard leading a dynamic and innovative delivery team that is part of HP’s State, Local and Education Division. In addition to her responsibilities at HP, Lisa is also an adjunct assistant professor at Walsh College where she teaches project management skills for the master’s and certificate programs.
 
Lisa has been a member of PMIGLC since 2000 and an active board member since 2010. Lisa is passionate about teaching, coaching and mentoring aspiring project leaders. She has assisted in development and has taught the PM 101-Skills for Life program, she often speaks at various chapter meetings on a number of topics including leadership, project management and Agile projects.

VP Professional Development - Asha Subramanian, PMP

Asha Subramanian is a Project Manager with HP Enterprise Services (formerly EDS) managing projects for the GM account client. Asha brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in the field of Business Development, Financial Management and Project Management and has contributed to the organizational growth in these roles. Excellent people skills and a results driven approach make Asha a successful project manager.

Asha has been an active volunteer in PMIGLC ever since her PMP certification in 2002.
•As the Director for Job Fair, successfully co-led the first job fair event for PMI-GLC in March 2005, leading a team of over 12 volunteer professionals.
•She led the Apollo II team in upgrading the PMP prep review materials to PMBOK edition 3 – 2006
•She has served as the Director - PMP Prep Course in 2007, 2008
•She is an accredited instructor & content Developer for PMP Exam Review course and Professional Seminars offered by PMI, GLC Chapter.

VP Programs - Vijay Marur, PMP, ITIL

Vijay is a Certified Project Management Professional with 16+ years experience in managing IT Projects for various Fortune 500 companies in global environments.

He has volunteered with PMIGLC from 2001 to 2005, as volunteer for Symposium, Director of Symposiums and VP Programs. He was selected to the PMI Leadership Institute, Class of 2005.
