President - Ravi Krishnaswami, PMP
|
|
Ravi Krishnaswami has over 25 years of experience as an engineer, IT professional, project manager and program manager. He has MS degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. The experience has been in multiple industries – automotive, hi-tech, defense and government. Ravi joined PMIGLC in 2002. He got his PMP certification in early 2003. He joined the corporate outreach committee as a volunteer in 2003 and served till 2007. He was the director of corporate outreach for 2005 and 2006. He is currently the VP Outreach and part of the executive committee of the Board of Directors. As VP outreach, Ravi initiated the efforts to affiliate PMIGLC with other complementary organizations. Affiliations have been made with APICS, ESD and itSMF. |

Past President - Arun Vinod Das K.S., PMP
|
|
Arun Das, PMP was a learning volunteer at the chapter during 2003 and 2004 and part of “project Apollo” team. He has been serving as a volunteer leader in an appointed or elected board member role since 2005. His past roles include Director of Advertising & Newsletter (2004 – 2005), VP of Administration (2006 – 2007), President Elect (2008) and President (2009). He was selected to the PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class and graduated in 2008. In his current strategic leadership role, he works with the PMI GLC Board of Directors (BOD) and engages them on setting the strategic direction for the chapter. He is an ambassador of project management and is excited to be part of its global advocacy through PMI and otherwise.

President-Elect - Mira Kukla, PMP
|
|
Mira Kukla , PMP, is a Project Analyst Senior/Project Manager, with EDS, an HP Company. She has performed project/program roles: including Project/Program Manager, Project/Program Control Office Management and Support, and Trainer/Mentor on numerous large strategic client initiatives. She possesses a working knowledge of program and project management methods and tools, scheduling, developing processes, and change management standards. Mira is a PMI Member since 1995 and passed her PMP certification in April 2000. She has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.
Ms. Kukla previously served the PMI GLC Board as VP of Administration for two terms and as Director of Volunteer Programs prior to that. From those experiences she has gained an increased knowledge of project management and insight into the leadership and structure of PMI. She has an understanding of the MI-GLC Executive Committee and Board, the budget process, and goal setting activity. During that time she demonstrated a successful track record in the Administration and Chapter operations.
As VP Professional Development, her vision is to continue to build a quality organization where people come to expand their learning capabilities through sharing ideas and experiences about project management methods with fellow members, their organization, and academic institutions. In our business, leaders need this knowledge to create and communicate visions to inspire team members to create and execute project plans effectively. Leaders use project management methods to stay on course in accomplishing their vision.

VP Administration - Gil Rollins, PMP

Gilbert (Gil) Rollins was a Managing Consultant with EDS, retiring at the beginning of 2005. He has over 30 years of project management experience ranging from one location, privately held to multi-billion, multinational firms. Gil has been an active member of PMI/GLC/ISSIG since 1996, working on membership surveys and 3 years on Membership Committee. VP Communications - Kulveer Virk, M.Eng., PMP

|
Kulveer is Project Manager working at Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and is an employee of Compuware Corp. Kulveer has over 14 years of experience in the I.T. and has successfully led various diverse and techincally strong teams. He has worked in India, Canada and in the United States of America. Kulveer is actively involved in PMIGLC since 2006. He holds Masters degree in Environmental Engineering. Kulveer enjoys reading business, management and leadership books and is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. He lives with his wife and two children in Windsor, Ontario. VP Finance - Mohan Kondur, BS, MS, MBA, PMP, PgMP

Mohan Kondur, PMP certified in 2002 and PgMP certified in 2009, has been a member of PMIGLC chapter since 2002. He has volunteered as a member of the chapter’s corporate outreach team since 2003, Director of Financial Operations during 2003-04 and VP of Administration during 2008-09 board years. Currently, he holds the position of chapter’s VP, Finance.
Seasoned program & project Manger with over 30 years of diverse information technology experience including application development and infrastructure delivery; Capable of leading and motivating large global multi-cultural and virtual teams through all project development lifecycle stages; Unique ability to explain technical information in digestible business terms. Expansive exposure to various technical designs, strategies, tools, quality and niche business standards, project management methodologies, and corporate governance frameworks. Successful customer and team relationship management practices founded on transparent communications and solid performance metrics. With a deep passion for project tracking, he has also developed and implemented unique business solutions for project quality tracking, time tracking and earned values and has published earned value articles in PMI College of Performance Measurement “The Measurable News” summer 2007 newsletter and presented to the PMI chapters including PMIGLC and PMI Bangalore, India. Proven accomplishments with delivering strategic and tactical, domestic and international initiatives for IT PM engagements at GMAC, GM, Ford, Ford Credit, Chrysler ,Delphi, GE, DMC, BCBSM, Comerica and Industrial engineering / Management roles at HMT (India). Education includes MBA from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada, PGDIE (indiustrial Engineering) from NITIE, Bombay and BE (Honors) from the University of Madras, Govt College of Tech, Coimbatore. |

VP Membership - Prem Kumar (P K) Mishra, M.TECH, PMP, CQM, ITIL

Prem Kumar (also known as P K) is an accomplished project and program management practitioner with 20+ years related experience. He is currently working as Program Manager with Capgemini at General Motors in Detroit. P K has earned “Best Project Manager of the Year” award in 2006 and President's Gold Medal for Excellence in Quality Management in 1994. He is a certified “Project Management Professional”, “Six Sigma Black Belt”, and “Manager for Quality and Organizational Excellence” and has master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Banaras Hindu University in India. He is extensively experienced in managing global implementations of IT solutions including Six Sigma and business process reengineering, using onshore / offshore models, product life cycle management, and supporting large sales pursuits. He has successfully led global delivery projects of the peak size of upto 5 million US dollars and 100+ people in distributed environment. He has also supported 10 million dollars of sales pursuits.

VP Outreach - Peter Tegner, PMP

Peter Tegner is a project and program manager with over 20 years leadership experience in the health care, banking and automotive sectors. Mr. Tegner joined PMI in 2002 and achieved Certification within the year. He has been an active volunteer in the Great Lakes Chapter since 2003, contributing to the rewrite of the Chapter By-Laws and Operations Manual, and later joining the Corporate Outreach Committee.
In 2007-2008, Mr. Tegner served as the Director of Corporate Outreach, working with local companies and leading the Chapter’s Corporate Roundtable, a unique quarterly venue for exchange among senior PMO leaders in the area. Currently, his focus is on expanding the strategic value of the profession of Project Management and the PMI Great Lakes Chapter through activities in all areas of Outreach. |

VP Professional Development - Dennis Calopisis, PMP

|
Dennis received his PMP certification in 2003 and has been a member of PMI GLC since then.
He has been a member of the PMI GLC Professional Development team since 2007 and has been the Director of Advanced Topics since 2008. In these role he has planned, developed and taught numerous classes on project management and interpersonal communication skills.
Dennis a graduate of Central Michigan University, having received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a MIS major. He received a his MBA from Wayne State University with a concentration in Organizational Behavior.
Dennis has been involved in IT and Project Management for over 17 years with roles at Dow Chemical, EDS, and Hewitt Packed, supporting marketing, logistics, supply chain, Insurance, and Financial projects in the Chemical, Automotive, and Health Care Industries. |

VP Programs - Ravi Panuganti, MBA, PMP

Ravi Panuganti has been a member of PMIGLC since 1998, certified PMP in 2001. He volunteered his services as Symposium Committee member in 2002-03, as Logistics Lead for 2003–04 Symposium event, and as Director of Symposium Programs in 2005-06. Currently, Ravi Panuganti holds the position of VP Programs and has been very actively and successfully fulfilling the duties as defined by the Board of Directors of PMI GLC. His envisioned goals for the program are: - Align programs to Great Lakes Chapter strategic plan
- Provide quality programs with a focus on leadership and PM Education
- Diverse geographic offering of programs
- Reduce costs and improve value of programs
Ravi Panuganti has a unique combination of education and experience. He has Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Masters in Business Administration and PMP certification from PMI. Currently, he is employed with Accretive Solutions and has experience in various industry areas primarily in Information Technology, and Construction. He is a hardworking, dedicated and a well organized individual with good interpersonal skills, quick adaptability, and a strong desire to gain and enhance knowledge through continuous process of learning. |
